Handbook

HANDBOOK CONTENT UNDER REVIEW

This handbook was created to help you to take full advantage of all residence services available to residents. There is helpful information about getting along with a roommate, personal safety tips, emergency procedures and important campus and community contacts.

Each undergraduate residence has its own identity, culture, unique services and structure. Included in this handbook is specific information about each residence. You’ll learn about your residence’s staff contacts, your college resources, services offered in residence and any additional community standards that apply to your specific residence.

Living in residence requires everyone to take extra measures to ensure safety and contribute to a harmonious, cooperative neighborhood. The Code of Student Rights & Responsibilities was created to assist in helping facilitate a positive and respectful community. Become familiar with the terms and conditions outlined in the Residence Agreement and the Residence Handbook to understand the responsibilities and privileges each member of the residence community is responsible for. If you have any questions, please talk to your Don. Any changes or updates to the Handbook will be posted at reslife.scld.yorku.ca. Be sure you are checking this website and ensuring you have the most up to date information.
